Welcome to Paradise!

When we welcome you to Gstaad as hiking and/or biking enthusiasts, we really mean: Welcome to paradise!

Because hardly any other holiday destination can offer what you will find in the magnificent mountain world around Gstaad: a unique combination of well-developed hiking and biking infrastructure with an intact alpine landscape. While other destinations often have to create an authentic ambience with artificial backdrops, we can simply show you how we live. In an untouched alpine countryside, where as many cows as people are at home.

In spring and autumn, herds of cows amble through the seemingly sophisticated village of Gstaad. The cows are as headstrong and stubborn as the people from the Saanenland. And just as real and down to earth. Neither people nor cows are part of any tourism concept. They are simply and unmistakably themselves and they make Gstaad so authentic and so disarmingly nonchalant.

Paradise for hikers: 300 kilometers of trails

The hiking trails around Gstaad lead through a variety of landscapes and offer the opportunity to discover moorlands, deep gorges, alpine valleys, high mountain peaks and, of course, the many beautifully located mountain inns. With over 300 kilometers of signaled and well maintained trails, easily reached by public transport or mountain railways, Gstaad is a true hiking paradise.

Paradise for bikers: 500 kilometers of GPS routes

Are you one of those bikers, who not only strive for top athletic performance, but also want to enjoy the wonderful landscape? Then you've come to the right place! We may not have the craziest trails and most murderous downhill routes. Instead, we offer more than 500 kilometers of GPS tours for mountain bikers, racing cyclists or e-bikers as well as signposted routes without GPS. Our e-bike charging system will provide your bike with the necessary power along the way - while countless cozy mountain inns provide the same for your body... In Gstaad every bike day is not only a sporting experience, but also active relaxation and enjoyment for all senses.
