Hotel Bernerhof in Gstaad: The most wonderful place on earth

Of course, everybody could say that. But Gstaad really is the most wonderful place on earth.

Why? Well for one, besides about 7'000 people living in and around Gstaad, we also have 7'000 cows. In the spring and in the fall they love to take a stroll through the seemingly so very sophisticated Gstaad. They are as laid-back and just as headstrong as the people living here in the mountains of Gstaad. And just as genuine. 

Here, neither people nor cows are part of some tourism concept. They are unique, they are just themselves. Nothing more and nothing less. They make this lovely valley on the border to the charming French part of Switzerland authentic and nonchalant.

And in the middle of the car-free center of Gstaad, our guests enjoy the Hiking and Gourmet Hotel Bernerhof with its four restaurants. Our ambience is as easy and uncomplicated as we are: So you will experience exactly what everybody wished you at home: Wonderful holidays.

The Four Restaurants of Hotel Bernerhof Gstaad

What are you in the mood for today? Experience a variety of culinary pleasures in our four different restaurants: 

28 Gault Millau Points

In 2016 Gault Millau again distinguished two of our restaurants: 13 points for the chinese restaurant Blun-Chi and 15 points for the Italian restaurant Basta by Dalsass. 

Cigar Lounge

Our restaurants are all smoke-free. But of course our smoking guests don't have to forego their pleasure. They are free to use the cigar lounge SMOKING to enjoy a good cigar or a fine pipe at their leisure.  

Bernerhof Breakfast 

If you enjoy a copious breakfast you will love our large Saanenland breakfast buffet with fresh regional products. If you prefer to breakfast the Italian way with just some good coffee and a croissant - just walk on over to BASTA by Dalsass. 

Our Chef Marcel Reist

Marcel Reist came to us as our new chef in 2016. Besides a passion for creative cooking he possesses years of experience in various renowned Swiss and Gstaad restaurants. At the Bernerhof Marcel Reist is responsible für three kitchens with a total of 28 Gault Millau points that he will develop with his creativity and great skill. Marcel's right hand is our long-standing sous-chef Tomo Kentera.
